Before Italy. July 7th, 2013
The lovely mother dearest and I before gallivanting off to Europe.
living: a particular manner, state, or status of life: luxurious living.
to live is the rarest thing in the world. most people exist, that is all.
what is living? what is truly living to ones infinite potential. we. we hear all things everyday. our news feed. our. daily minds reading the garbage that fulfills it or attacks the wasteland. our choice. your choice to see the way others live and perceive life. because closed minds will always remain unknown to the extraordinary.
my time here so far has been quite lovely to say the least. our first two days were at Rome. next three in Tuscany, and next three at Forte dei Marmi. first morning. ran around the Colosseum at 7am. tours galore and passion everywhere. by passion, i mean captured with such intense eyes and love. people are not afraid to truly be themselves it seems. they appreciate what they are given with such a short amount of it.
we fear rejection, want attention, crave affection and dream of perfection.
Certainty vs. Doubts
What runs through our minds conforms our thoughts. Our thoughts can eat us alive if we let them. Tear the deepest, darkest innocence of our well being. The surface does not appear to what we make it. Passive aggressiveness wins this battle of man vs.self. Why do we choose to put up a front? Is it because we want to appear to be someone else we are not? Because if so, why would we need to be four different people?
These thought,s the ones that run through my head, deal with people and interaction. I see it everyday. We can almost see what battle a person is going through if we choose to. If we want to ignore, we can. But, I want to know. I want to know what a person deals with, how he deals with it, and how he chooses to overcome if he sets forth action.
I want to help inspire, motivate, understand these self battles and self doubt. Having a support system for what really matters is my passion. Be open to the possibilities & hearts of others. Touch someones heart today. Make it count and don’t even try to hold back.
Make positivity spread like wildfire into an area where your sunshine not only shines on you, but is feeding others.
Sink Glory Days
You know those people. The ones who live in the past. The glory day football player who still lives in his hometown. Who just cant seem to understand that today is a blessing. And in order for things to change, they have to change… time and time again. It’s hard to see for me sometimes, because I see potential in so many people every day. What do you do in those instances? Do you ignore? Do you seek help for them? Because at the end of the day, we know there is an issue. and are not doing anything about it. Or should we just screw it. Let them sink till they find their way out. Give a little push, but not a free ride.
I don’t know why this bugs me so much. But coming with other ways to make an impact, now that’s my goal. If it doesn’t hit this time, I’m gonna hit you with a huge reality check. And if that check bounces, it’s not in my hands anymore. That’s for sure.
I had someone tell me the other day in a real sarcastic tone, “Well, at least one of us is happy.” As if I am responsible for their happiness. I didn’t know you gave me so much power to uphold to. But for anyone who is reading this. And for me too, I would tell you and myself as so did so many other people tell me and just got to this point to want to share it. “Just focus on you Rachel. Do you, don’t worry about what other people are doing.”
I just don’t see it like that though. It’s like watching a ship sink and having a raft in your hands. But, the question is, is it easier for that ship to pull you down, or you to save it. If you can save it, go ahead. If it is too much, sail away. But always ask yourself…
“Life’s most persistent and urgent questions is, what are you doing for others?”
Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.
